- The Tomahawk swimming team had a successful weekend.
They scored 220 points and finished fourth behind three division one schools in the Ashwaubenon Jaguar Invite on Saturday.
They were one of two division two schools who competed in a 12 team field.
Tomahawk's 200 free relay got first place and had their fastest time in any season at 1:41.01.
Lauren Hilt accumulated four medals.
It was a good test as they prepare a successful playoff run.
The biggest high cross country meet in the northern Wisconsin was in Wausau on Saturday, the Smiley Invitational.
Lakelands boys cross country team had a strong showing finishing 1st in the division one small school race. They would have won the division two race. Andrew Schilling led the Thunderbirds with a time of 17:02.
On the girl's side, Pulaski won the division one small school race. Phillips won the division three race and would have also won the division two race. Ellie Lochner was up front for the Loggers.
Tomahawk's Dani Whiting finished first in the division two race with a time of 15:28. The Hatchets finished second.
In high school football, the top three in the Great Northern conference after week 5 is Mosinee, Merrill, and Lakeland.
In the Marawood Conference the top three are Edgewood Auburndale, and Stratford.
In the Northern Lakes, it's Florence, Crandon, and Northern Elite.
Wisconsin Valley South the top three are Oshkosh North, Fond Du Lack, and Hortonville.
In the Wisconsin Valley North the top three is Kimberly, Appleton North, and Appleton East.
