RHINELANDER - Some people know the cost of high school school sports can be high.

But some people don't realize how expensive the arts can be.

Rhinelander High School's music department held a fundraiser to help with music costs.


Supporters of the band bowled for four hours to raise money.

Band parents say this money goes a long way.

"Proceeds that we receive today help students go on trips that aren't able to afford them. It helps us feed the kids during homecoming. It's all sorts of events that the Band Parents do and this money helps them with the events," said Connie Piasecki, the RHS Band Director.

Last year, the fundraiser raised 1,700 dollars.

The music department hopes to hold this fundraiser every year.
